It's a Window Into the Nervous System

Every function in the body including digestion, sleep, immune response, growth, even how well a baby latches or a toddler regulates their mood, is coordinated by the nervous system. The problem is, nervous system stress doesn't always show up as an obvious symptom, especially in infants and young children who can't tell us how they're feeling.

That's where the INSiGHT scan comes in. It's a completely painless, non-invasive technology that measures three things:

• Heart Rate Variability (HRV) — how well the body is adapting to stress

• Surface EMG (sEMG) — muscle tension patterns along the spine

• Thermography — subtle temperature changes that can point to nervous system irritation

Together, these three readings give us an objective, measurable snapshot of how your child's (or your own) nervous system is functioning, not just a guess based on what we can see or feel.

Why We Scan on the First Visit

For our littlest patients especially, a scan tells us things a traditional exam alone can't. A newborn can't describe discomfort, and even older kids often can't put words to what's going on in their bodies. The scan gives us real data to work with from day one.

It also gives us a baseline. Once we know where your child's nervous system is starting from, we can track real, measurable progress at each re-evaluation, so care isn't based on guesswork, and you can actually see how your child is responding to care over time.
